No pressure if you need to call off your dive, or are nervous, or need extra time equalizing...whatever. Captain Noah was great and has a million stories. The day we went out it was raining but didn’t make any difference. You are wet no matter what! But that sea life....you can’t beat it. We did the easy 2 dive in 40’ for the first dive (lots of sea turtles and a couple of scorpion fish were the definite highlights) and 20’ for second dive with just about every single fish imaginable on a reef. Great shop to dive with - have fun!

The training wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Supergirl was patient with us in making sure we could do the basics in the water. Once we were down in the ocean we got to see some rare fish and lay down doing a stare contest with a turtle 🐢. I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. They also set up this dive to count towards our certification. If you are on the fence about trying scuba diving or if this is where you want to go, the answer is yes come here. Captain Noah was great and made sure we got in and out of the water safely. He also stayed back with the other divers for the second dive. Side note they recommended a delicious pizza. Thank you again to Super Girl, Diamond, and Captain Noah.

She gives great dive briefs, so that you know what to expect on the dives. She was always close by, if we needed her, but gave me the time to work through any issues that I was having. All around, it was a fantastic experience diving with Reef Pirates!
I love that they only take 6 divers on the dive trip. Captain Chris and Captain Noah were both very friendly and helpful. They, and the instructors took very good care of each diver, before, during, and after the dive.
Special thanks to our other instructor, Diamond for diving with us on our first dives after a long layoff. She was great! Although we've all been snorkeling this was truly an amazing experience. Diamond was our instructor and guide during our dive. She was awesome. Her instructions were very easy to understand and she took her time to make sure we were safe and having maximum amount of fun.
With that Dan was our captain. He had a great attitude and was pretty funny. He was also very helpful while on the boat and getting the divers ready to roll. Overall we had a ton of fun so much so that one of my brothers and myself have decided to work on getting our divers certification. I would recommend Reef Pirates and would absolutely book another trip with them if/when I can get back to Oahu.

We are grateful to the shops attentiveness to the weather and our safety. “Diamond” and Noah were great to work with on our am deep wreck dive. It was an unforgettable experience! “Diamond” and “Supergirl” did a wonderful job with our afternoon dive! We had four of six that were not certified and all four were able to get their skills passed off and dive with us! We were very pleased with our experience and will be using Reef Pirates anytime we dive on Oahu. Thank you!

I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone I encountered: I had reached out to several dive companies inquiring about the AOW certification, and Satoshi from Reef Pirates was definitely the most responsive and informative of them all. The two instructors I had, Jen and Diamond, as well as the boat captain, Noah, were very knowledgeable and always made me feel safe. They also helped me get my weights just right and gave really helpful tips on optimizing buoyancy that I definitely noticed right away. I also did a trip with 2 family members who did the discovery scuba, and they had a great time.
Do not hesitate to book with Reef Pirates! It's a bit further away from downtown Honolulu compared to some other dive centers, but they pick-up and drop-off free of charge and the 20 min drive passes by fast. The biggest group we had was 4 total divers.
PrairiesSask_ ●●●●●Another great year diving with Reef PiratesThis was my third year diving with RPD and they continue to improve and impress. Right from first contact to set up 5 days of diving including a night dive (12 dives total) to rescheduling dives due to weather, they were great. The captains and dive masters are great they tried to do the the dive sites that the divers request, I was able to dive 3 new sites that I had never dive before. Some sites had to be changed due to weather(safety first) Another added bonus is the hotel pick up and drop off. Supergirl (aka Jenn) did a great job with all divers from novice to divemasters and an instructor on the one charter, she kept it enjoyable for all. Thanks again to all for an enjoyable holiday.
Leah M ●●●●●Small and personalized excursion - we had an amazing time!We drove all the way from Ko 'Olina to the Reef Pirates because they have no more than 6 people per boat, and the cost was a lot cheaper than where we were staying. It was WELL worth the drive! Chris (the captain) and Leah (aka Diamond, the Dive Master) were amazing. Very competent and fun. We had three snorkelers and two divers. Diamond showed the divers so many turtles on the first shallow reef dive - it was amazing. Up close and personal. She let us take our time and enjoy the sea life. Chris helped the snorkelers, and paid extra personal attention to our entire party. We even saw dolphins and one of us swam next to them! The dolphins also swam with the boat on our ride back to the marina. Really amazing. I highly recommend Reef Pirates. What a fun trip!

The staff is excellent!! I dove with Jenn and captain Noah the first day and Diamond and captain Chris another day. They’re all an absolute pleasure to dive with!My dive got cancelled one day due to poor weather conditions but they accommodated me right away with either a full refund or rescheduling me a day or two later. Overall, great experience and I highly recommend diving with Reef Pirates Dive Shop!!

I will say, the day we went out was near perfect and the clarity of the water was ridiculous, even according to our instructors and captain. Art & Diamond were fantastic instructors, went over all safety and skills easily and thoroughly, and provided a really fun experience for everyone. They took us to two different dive spots, explained what we might see and then lead us around to a reef, as well as a "turtle cleaning" shelf - I can't even count the number of different fish species we saw in both places, as well as plenty of sea turtles. The group was kept small and they even provided snacks on the boat. An all around spectacular experience, where safety was paramount and fun was priority. I highly recommend Reef Pirates for your diving experience, I know we'll be back!

The weather was cloudy, the surface of the sea a little bit bad, and I thought that we would have a bad dive day but... wrong, because SuperGirl and captain Chris made it easy and we could have two good dives in some shallow areas.
Good dive guide, the boat was right, equipment in well condition, and of course beautiful seascapes with turtles and lot of fishes. I live in Spain so far away but I am sure I will come back to Hawaii and dive again with reef pirates.
The best for me is that they set all the equipment and then they return the equipment, so you only have to think in dive.

The instructors and captain were awesome, and the dives, beautiful. The turtles are majestic-a must see! Jenn was our rad dive master mermaid treasure finder, and Captain Dan was a boat wizard who cast a “no puking spell” on my (usually) sea sick self. We had a great time, and look forward to more dives, as this will now be our local dive shop!

This time I had my 16 yr old son with me who needed to finish his Open Water certification. Took 2 separate boats out (with different crew) on 2 different days and everyone who helped my son were fantastic, especially Jen aka Superwoman. We had a memorable time and will certainly be back to dive with Reef Pirates next time we visit the island. Mahalo!
